Animal homelessness is essentially the by-product of people who take little or no responsibility for animals in their care. We live in a society where nearly everything is disposable, which leads many people to terminate their relationship with an animal on a whim, with little or no thought about the impact it will have on these creatures.

Harbor Humane Society strives to adopt out as many animals as we can to loving, nurturing homes. Some animals are simply unadoptable due to aggression or illness, but we make every effort to unite unwanted animals with people who will care for them for a lifetime.
