Reading With Fido
Come spend some quiet time with a furry friend through our Reading With Fido program at Harbor Humane! Stop by during any of our open hours; we provide books (though you’re welcome to bring your favorite!) and a mat to read on. All you have to do is show up and read!
This program helps the lives of shelter animals by reducing their anxiety and improving kennel manners. It’s also a perfect way to practice your reading skills! Who is less judgmental than a furry friend?! Come out, work on your reading skills, and help enrich the life of one of our animals!

- Open to the public
- Free to attend
- Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult during their entire visit.
- Reading time available during our open hours:
Monday - Friday: 12:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Saturday: 12 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
