FOSTERING SAVES LIVES

Do you want to help animals but don’t have the time to come volunteer at Harbor? Maybe you need your animal fix but cannot commit to adopting at this time? Fostering might be right for you!

Harbor Humane will equip you with the knowledge and materials you need prior to fostering, so first time fosters are welcome! We consistently are looking for loving homes that can help with young kittens and puppies, dogs and cats. You can help provide a much needed decompression space for animals that are stressed in the shelter environment. You can aid in the transformation of animals rehabilitating medically. And, of course, you could become a temporary parent for kittens and puppies too young to start the search for their forever homes.

In 2020, 723 dogs/puppies and 882 cats/kittens were lucky enough to experience the love our foster homes have to give. It takes a village to care for and find forever homes for our animals. Join our community to help us give our animals a second chance at life and love!

Fosters are a true extension of our shelter team and capacity. By opening your heart and home, YOU are helping Harbor save more lives than we could before! Learn more about dog and cat fostering through the links below.
